EveryPig Launches New Antibiotic Tracking Feature Ahead of American Association of Swine Veterinarians Conference

MIAMI (PRWEB) FEBRUARY 28, 2019

Swine health and production management tool EveryPig today announced the release of an all-new analytics feature that will allow pork producers to track their system-wide antibiotics usage and compare it over time. The new feature aims to decrease unnecessary antibiotic use by easily tracking the amount of antibiotics being used on a system-wide level. Users are also able to monitor usage by farm type in nursery, wean to finish, and finishing barns.

“EveryPig’s new antibiotics tracking tool allows for more judicious and transparent medication use – a key element in building accountability and trust in our food system.

The company’s founder Chris Bomgaars will introduce this new feature and EveryPig’s other groundbreaking capabilities at the upcoming American Association of Swine Veterinarians Conference in Orlando on March 9, 2019. “There is growing interest among consumers for greater insights into how their food is produced and whether animal welfare practices are being properly followed,” said EveryPig Founder Chris Bomgaars. “Our new antibiotics tracking tool allows for more judicious and transparent medication use – a key element in building accountability and trust in our food system. We are very excited to bring this powerful functionality to our clients, like Pillen Family Farms, with whom we closely collaborated during the product development.”

Dr. Christine Mainquist of Pillen Family Farms added: “EveryPig has been a valuable tool in helping us stay on top of our pigs’ health and providing timely information and summary data across our numerous facilities. We look forward to continuing our partnership with EveryPig and utilizing it to keep providing our customers with the healthy, sustainable food they’ve come to expect from Pillen Family Farms.”

EveryPig is the world’s first animal health platform that is dedicated to serving animals, producers, and consumers by improving animal health and increasing transparency in the food chain.

Bomgaars and Mainquist will both present at the upcoming American Association of Swine Veterinarians Conference that will take place March 9-12, 2019 at Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
